Friday, January 13th, 2012

Farm Science GeneticsFinding a good college program for gardening is a pretty difficult task for a person living in the big state of Texas. There are many programs that focus on gardening related classes, but not many that are specifically for people who want to learn about gardening. At first, I thought there would be many programs that would fit my needs, but as I started doing my search I found that this was not actually the case. In this state they are much more focused on college programs such as engineering and farm science. I am just a simple and person and want a college degree about gardening so I can grow my own food. I will continue my search for the perfect gardening program in the state of Texas, but with my luck so far I do not think I will be enrolling in a program that fits this very specific need.

They are vicious eaters of grass roots that will keep feeding from spring all the way to summer. They can be pretty clever too. Most lawn grubs hide deep under the soil during the day, where they can continue wrecking your lawn by feeding on the grass roots. Then they come out at night and attack the grass blades. By the time you notice the damage, it is usually already too late, since most of the roots have been eaten away. To solve the problem of lawn grubs, you need to apply lawn grub control before your lawn is completely and utterly destroyed. Lawn grub control can be achieved by applying an anti-grub formula which can be purchased in most gardening shops. Aside from anti-grub formula, you can also make use of nematodes, which are very tiny organisms that can be applied to your grass and will kill the grubs that are infesting your lawn. They threw me a retirement party and went all out with gifts, cake and drinks. They all pitched in and bought me one f the most beautiful wind chimes I have ever seen. The card attached explained how they want the wind chime installed on my front patio so when I am out there with my paper and coffee watching the birds in the bird bath I can have the soothing tunes of the chimes. I just laughed because they have a different outlook of retirement than me. I plan on traveling, visiting friends and family and doing some small renovations around my home.
